FIRST LINE ASSET PROTECTION SUPERVISOR COURSE
Description
This 24- hour course is mandatory for the asset protection supervisors. Participants will receive training vital to effective leadership, including ethics, effective communication, leadership styles, counseling. Planning and organizing, and cultural diversity.

Main topics include:
- Making the transition from line officer to supervisor.
- Identifying common threads in leadership, management and supervision
- Using leadership, counselling , motivation and communication skills effectively.
- Understanding values, ethics, and fundamental principles of leadership and supervision.
- Understanding the supervisor’s role as it relates to the overall goals of the corporate and / or the organization.
- Using a systematic approach to identify and solve problems.
- Understanding administrative tasks such as post order management budgeting scheduling, planning, and staffing.
- Applying work performance measures and employee evaluations.
Special investigative issues are also introduced:
- Domestic disturbance
- Crime scene protection
- Security Venerability recognition and recommendation
- Use of force
Pre-requisites
Participants should have amble knowledge of the asset protection basic Security training
Audience
The participant must be a supervisor in a public or industrial safety agency or anticipate promotion to a supervisor position in the near future. The course is also beneficial for those who are responsible for the day to- day supervision of law enforcement or similar personnel.
